Porcelain Veneers

A long-lasting perfect smile - no surgery required!

If you're unhappy with the way your teeth look - if they are chipped, misaligned, or otherwise damaged- porcelain veneers can be an excellent and easy solution. Porcelain veneers are made of a thin ceramic material, custom-shaped, colored, and bonded to the exterior of your teeth. Each veneer is individually created by a ceramic artist to make the desired changes to the appearance of your teeth.  They can change the color, shape, size, position, and proportions of the teeth that are treated.

During your free consultation, we will explain the process to you in detail and you can discuss exactly how you would like your teeth to appear. On your second visit, the teeth are prepared for the veneers and an impression for the ceramic artist is created.  At that visit temporary veneers are also placed which are designed to make the changes that are planned for the final veneers.  This acts like a “trial smile” where subtle changes can be made and can be used as a blueprint for the ceramist to create the final desired result.  The last appointment is to remove the temporary veneers and bond the final veneers into place.

  • Good candidates are anyone who has cavities or decayed teeth that need fillings, or those who have metal mercury fillings they would like removed and replaced.

  • They are considered stronger and more durable because they bond chemically to the tooth. They also don’t corrode over time and are not affected by extreme hot or cold, which can cause metal mercury fillings to expand and contract.

  • Most dental plans do cover their use, but this will depend on your specific insurance coverage.
