How Invisalign Works
If you are an Invisalign candidate, a series of clear aligners will be made to incrementally move your teeth. A small amount of tooth movement is built into each aligner and each aligner is worn over your teeth for about a week before you switch to the next aligner in the series.
It is important that you wear the aligners for as close to 24 hours a day as you can, removing them only to brush your teeth and eat. The entire Invisalign treatment is usually complete in about 6-12 months or less. The actual treatment time will depend on your specific problems and the number of aligners needed to correct the problem.
